Shelton Studios is a proper theatre company & school here in SF. I’m their film educator and resident film director. I teach quarterly there and direct on a project basis. The Shelton community is a creative family for me & my primary resource for talent.

Studio B is a Berkeley based production company founded by the cinematographer for the Real World. I cut my teeth there as an editor & it was my gateway from being a passionate DIY filmmaker to learning the business of online video production.

Act III, Scene 1 is a modern reworking of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. It abstracts, embellishes, and condenses original elements of Hamlet, studying current domestic conditions by exploring dynamics between Prince Hamlet and Lady Ophelia. B&W HD. 25 minutes.
Awarded Best Cinematography at the 10th City Shorts Festival (2010).

You Have To Understand This Hurts Us Too documents and attempts to understand the creative process of a collage artist, synthesizing his arrangement of still images with the “moving” images of intervolometer photography. B&W & Color 16mm reversal film. 5 minutes.
